The basic requirements for a digital nomad visa in Spain are:
1. Work for one or more companies/customers outside of Spain for at least 3 months
2. Prove that each of these companies/customers has been in continuous employment for at least 1 year

Any documents in a foreign language shall be provided with a Spanish translation by a sworn translator officially recognized in Spain.
1. Original and copies of all pages of a valid passport. The minimum validity period of the passport must be 1 year, the passport must have two blank pages. Passports issued more than 10 years ago are not accepted.
2. Payment of visa fee. The fee is payable at the time of visa application.
3. Visa application form signed by a person working remotely (national visa application form) + photo.
4. Certificate of employment or professional activity carried out in a foreign organization (organizations), with which the applicant maintains an employment relationship for at least 3 months prior to the date of visa application. The certificate from the organization must contain the following information:
(a) If the employee is self-employed – the length of the employee’s employment with the organization, as well as the authorization to perform remote work under paragraph 6.
b) if the staff member is self-employed – the duration of the contractual relationship, as well as the terms and conditions of the remote professional activity in accordance with paragraph 7.
5. Confirmation of actual continuous activity for at least 1 year of the foreign organization or organizations with which the employee cooperates or in which he/she performs professional activity. For this purpose, a certificate from the Register of Business Enterprises (or a similar local authority) should be provided, indicating the date of establishment of the organization and the type of its activity.

6. In the case of an employment relationship: a letter from the foreign organization must be submitted, indicating in it the authorization to work remotely from Spain.
7. In the case of a professional relationship: a document certifying the terms and conditions of the remote professional activity.
8. Proof of sufficient financial means corresponding to the following amounts:
(a) for the main applicant: confirm the availability of a monthly amount equivalent to 200% of the amount of the minimum interprofessional salary (SMI). In 2024, the SMI is equal to 1,323 euros. That is, the minimum income must be at least 2,646 euros per month .
b) for family members: for the maintenance of the first family member (spouse) it is necessary to additionally prove the existence of at least 75% of SMI per month. For each next family member (children) – at least 25% SMI per person per month.
9. A certificate of no criminal record from the country or countries where the applicant has resided for the last 5 years. Additionally, a responsible statement of no criminal record for the last 5 years must be submitted. Applicants who have reached the age of criminal responsibility submit an original and a copy of a certificate of no criminal record from the country or countries where the applicant has resided during the last 2 years. The certificates must be issued not earlier than 3 months before applying for the visa. Certificates issued in the Russian Federation, Belarus, Armenia and Uzbekistan must bear the Hague Apostille. Certificates issued in Turkmenistan must be signed by a diplomatic officer of the relevant consulate in the Russian Federation.
10. Proof of public or private medical insurance. This insurance must be issued by an insurance company accredited in Spain and must cover treatment and medical care in Spain during the period of validity of the permit.
11. a responsible declaration stating the obligation to comply with social security obligations (Seguridad Social) prior to the commencement of the employment or professional activity, and in the absence of coverage under the international standards coordinating social security systems and employment, proof of the firm’s enrolment in the social security system (Seguridad Social) must be submitted.
