Because of the expected unfavorable coastal phenomenon, recommendations are given to protect homes from possible seawater intrusion; avoid approaching embankments, breakwaters and cliffs; and avoid driving vehicles on roads close to the coastline. It is also strongly advised not to engage in any water sports.
With regard to expected sediment, it is important to be aware of the risk level in each municipality and to know if where you live or work is in an area of possible flooding. It is also recommended to stay away from riverbanks and ravines and not to stay on bridges.
In case of such weather events, it is expected to identify the highest points of the area so that one can head there in case of flooding.
Valencia Community Emergency Services emphasized that all of these advisories are compiled on the Valencia Community 112 service website. “Please stay informed,” emphasized the general director of the service.
